Dogs will put up with a lot but they have their limits, just like we do.

Every year dogs make the headlines for biting young children.

Sometimes it is the dog that belongs to the family but often it is a dog that belongs to a friend or grandparent or relative.

Dogs do not see extended family members in the same way as they do their own pack.

Humans rather stupidly expect dogs to tolerate small children and their rough play. Most dogs will put up with it but is it worth the pain of seeing a small child get bitten or a beautiful dogs destroyed.

Encourage your friends to watch their children when they are playing with dogs, no matter how good the dog might be normally, a small child can easily hurt a dog and it will react.
