  3. This post is a great idea. I have had some black days lately and depression is often referred to as the black dog. However, I have two black and white dogs. The younger one is almost completely black and you can easily lose her in the dark and think you’ve put her outside when she’s actually hiding under the desk hoping to sleep inside. Anyway, my dogs have really stood by me and encouraged me through these tough days and I thought about the irony of it. We adopted the little one recently and she is so loving and wags her tail so much. She hears you coming and you hear this tap tap tap on the floor and as you get closer it speeds up. My two black dogs give me so much love. Bliss!

    • black dogs rock…. I met one today, outside a pub in Geelong…. beautiful dog…. I really dislike the way depression has become known as ‘the black dog’….. I’ve been battling depression for the last twenty years and I won’t let anyone use that expression around me. My two dogs have seen me through some rough times also.
Be well, and pat your dogs for me.
